For the last several years, RP has served as a strategic marketing and communications advisor to The University of Chicago Medicine (UCM), a leading academic medical center on Chicago’s South Side. Developing a comprehensive media relations strategy to raise awareness of the hospital among prospective patients and referral sources
Creating myriad annual reports, marketing collateral, patient communication materials and websites to communicate with the hospital’s’ key audiences
Conducting a comprehensive media audit to ascertain UCM’s media share of voice in Chicagoland’s competitive healthcare market
Developing an integrated community relations campaign to further engrain UCM into the South Side community
Serving as a strategic partner and day-to-day communications lead on various labor negotiations
Crafting employee engagement strategy to improve culture, retention and patient service across the hospital
Building integrated communications plans surrounding the regulatory approval process and opening of new facilities, including ambulatory outpatient clinics and labor and delivery center
As a result of RP’s involvement as a strategic communications advisor to UCM, the hospital has positioned itself as one of the nation’s leading academic medical institutions.
