What’s your favorite part of your job?
I love being able to solve visual problems through creative means. You feel a sense of accomplishment when you’ve taken something that was problematic and made it both visually appealing and functional.
If you could have dinner with a famous person (past or present) who would it be and why?
If I could arrange my perfect dinner party, it would be with Lady Gaga, Sia, Adele and Beyoncé. I so admire their work, and I find their successful pursuit of their passions to be very inspirational. They didn’t fit into any pre-made mold for a successful woman, and I would love to pick their brains about how they turned their creative visions into such impactful and important realities. It’s amazing to sit back and think of where these women came from and how far they’ve come.
What’s something people are always surprised to find out about you?
I played competitive fastpitch softball for nearly a decade, and the sport was a huge chunk of my life. Softball is a team sport, but each individual is responsible for her performance in the game, so I learned to work well under pressure. Every day, I truly lived the concepts of teamwork, discipline and commitment, and those values shape my life even now.
