Founded in 2010, TPC has grown into an international leader with 10 specialty manufacturers in the United States, China, Wales, and Mexico: E-Fab, Elcon, Fotofab, Lattice Materials, L&T Precision, Microphoto, Optiforms, PEI, Pinnacle Precision and UPG.

  • Developed a full-day, three-module program to train participants on defining and understanding your audience, the importance of message consistency and tailoring, techniques to skillfully guiding and handling difficult conversations; brought to life with multiple interactive exercises.
  • Coached nearly 200 leaders on media, messaging, and communication for effective communications and stakeholder engagement.
  • Participants reported a significant 23% improvement in communication skills.

As an unsung hero in supporting leading companies in industries like aerospace and defense, medical technology, and clean energy, there is a need to share their services and solutions with the broader manufacturing and business community. Their vision is to be the go-to partner for innovative, precision manufacturing solutions worldwide. 

 

To support this vision, TPC called on RP in June 2023 to lead cross-functional communications efforts, executing a comprehensive media relations, public speaking, awards, and social media strategy. Through the first two years of our partnership, RP has worked diligently to establish TPC as an attractive acquirer and operator in the manufacturing space and strengthen its position with current and prospective employees, investors, acquisition targets, current portfolio companies, vendor partners and more. 

Goals

  • Drive a robust communications/PR strategy to create stronger TPC brand awareness, executing against TPC’s core pillars and strategic messaging.
  • Leverage the comprehensive PR/communications strategy to build the TPC business by positioning the company as a U.S. and global leader, attract potential sales and revenue sources and maintain an engaged workforce.
  • Utilize proactive media relations, executive thought leadership, owned and social content, events and awards and investor communications to elevate TPC’s position as a solutions-oriented leader amid global trends.
  • Refine TPC’s core messaging to highlight its niche capabilities and specialized applications within core industry verticals.

Results

  • Communications driving Business Expansion: As a result of RP’s integrated marketing and public relations service, it has led to the acquisition of TPC’s 11th operating company, Precision Eforming, which reached out to TPC to be potentially acquired after seeing TPC media coverage and social media presence.
  • Media Relations:
    • Since the beginning of our partnership, RP secured 56 pieces of media coverage through July 2025, resulting in 912.1M estimated impressions. This coverage includes interviews with top-tier and trade reporters focusing on TPC’s core verticals. Examples include:
    • RP continues to support media relations efforts through proactive pitching efforts for timely industry topics, developing news releases announcing company milestones, certifications and recognitions, and building trusted relationships with relevant top-tier and industry trade reporters.
  • Telling TPC’s Story
    • RP built a robust owned content development strategy to help TPC establish its brand voice and service differentiators.
    • RP develops and shares news posts for the TPC website demonstrating TPC’s industry impact, garnering over 1,500 views across 25 news posts since the beginning of our partnership. These news posts highlight TPC’s niche capabilities and customer-centric solutions, how TPC fuels macrotrends regarding reshoring, share how the company supports specific industries like clean energy, medtech and aerospace and defense, announce new hires, board positions and company milestones, and spotlight TPC awards secured and events attended. Examples include:
  • TPC LinkedIn content:
    • In an effort to reach a broader manufacturing/engineering audience across TPC and executive networks, RP launched a social media strategy to bolster TPC LinkedIn channels and develop a steady stream of content.
    • RP developed monthly content calendars to enhance familiarity with TPC and its capabilities, elevate visibility and build its brand presence, publishing at least one post per week.
    • The team leverages LinkedIn to insert TPC into relevant, real-time industry conversations by spotlighting their expertise, sharing earned media wins and reinforcing their voice on topics that matter most to customers and stakeholders.
    • LinkedIn activity attracted 641 new users to TPC’s website in 2025.
    • LinkedIn content includes posts spotlighting TPC employees and companies, holidays and observances, as well as attended events and awards. Examples include:
      • LinkedIn post spotlighting Lattice Materials as a leader in optical applications and a solutions provider in medical imaging, UAVs and semiconductor fabrication.
      • LinkedIn post celebrating International Women’s Day and honoring the women of TPC’s companies.
      • LinkedIn post announcing Brian Davis’s promotion to director of corporate accounting.
      • LinkedIn post promoting TPC/L&T Precision’s expertise and their attendance at the 2024 Design-2-Part Shows event.
    • RP reported an 67% average engagement rate in Q2 2025, surpassing our goal of 8% engagement.
    • RP garnered 11,023 post impressions in Q2 2025.
    • RP also supports LinkedIn profile posts and updates for key executive leaders, and provides recommended social media content for TPC’s advanced manufacturers, as appropriate.
  • Events and awards
    • RP amplifies TPC’s presence at key industry shows through pre-show media outreach, on-site engagement and boosting post-show visibility.
    • Conducted a tailored approach to pursue awards and speaking opportunities, focusing on core verticals that draw a manufacturing and engineering audience. Examples include:
      • Secured speaking engagement at Photonics Media: Infrared Imaging Summit and reporter meetings onsite that led to coverage in Electro Optics. Supported with LinkedIn amplification to promote TPC’s attendance.
      • Secured a speaker proposal for Hydrogen Fuel Cells 2025 and secured two onsite interviews with H2TechTalk and Argus Media.
      • TPC ranked 17th as one of the 40 most successful metal fabricating operations based on revenue data on The Fabricator Fab40 list in 2025, up one spot from 2024.
  • Internal Communications and Brand Building
    • RP has supported numerous internal communications efforts throughout our partnership, namely coordinating details and messaging for an internal Sales Summit, communications efforts around internal structural changes, provided messaging in response to tariff updates, facilitated communications with investor groups and more.
    • These efforts helped further position TPC as a trusted partner and organizer in providing the most efficient, reliable manufacturing solutions for its customers within an ever-evolving industry.
