US LBM, the largest privately owned distributor of specialty building materials in the United States, plays a key role in addressing the nation’s housing challenges by providing essential building materials through its network of over 400 locations. US LBM sought our assistance in beginning the organization’s sustainability journey, writing, designing and publishing its first-ever sustainability report to highlight its societal impact on providing sustainable building materials solutions to the housing supply crisis and to enhance perceptions among investors and external stakeholders.
Leveraging our industry-leading experience helping publicly traded and private companies launch and develop a multiyear sustainability reporting journey, we reviewed internal data, documents and narratives from US LBM workstreams to shape a clear and cohesive report. This process included defining the report’s narrative, outlining key content and setting the design direction.
From there, we wrote the 37-page report, anchored by a central unified theme and designed it to align with US LBM’s brand guidelines and visual style.
